When you buy a hand cream a shampoo or soap, how often do you read carefully the ingredients? And if you do, do you have  chemistry knowledge to understand them?

And if you understand a little, are you aware of the fact that no one makes a cosmetic product without adding preservatives? The product warranty period informs us about the deadline up to which we can use that product but never informs us about the preservatives toxicity.

Of course there are companies who have made a name with the respect for the customer and quality products, but they are not always accessible. This thing should not prevent you from taking care of yourself ! Be your own  cosmetics manufacturer and the satisfaction will be multiple!

• You will have a profound feeling of accomplishment
• You will save money in two ways – first of all for making your own cosmetics and second of all you can make natural and original gifts to your friends
• You will protect the environment by using waste oil instead of just throwing it away

The idea should not scare you, you must not know very much chemistry, in the and even cooking is some kind of chemical experiment. What do you prefer? A homemade cookie or a store bought cookie?

You can try this very simple soap recipe:

Aloe soap has a moisturizing and nourishing effect, giving a shiny aspect to the skin but you can use many herbal tinctures.

Ingredients:

• 300g Caustic soda crystals
• 4 cups of cold water
• 800 ml coconut oil (you can use olive oil also)
• 1L olive oil
• 3 cups of vegetable fat (vegetable oil of any kind – it’s important to be filtered)
• Fragrance oil

You mix the caustic soda crystals with water in a glass jar until the crystals are dissolved, Put the fat in a enamel saucepan and melt it, then add the olive oil and the coconut oil. The appropriate temperature for preparation is 95-98 F. You can add now slowly the dissolved caustic soda stirring constantly for 30 minutes. Before pouring in the shapes add the fragrance oils and aloe tincture or some glycerin.


 

Put the soap on a flat surface and cover it with a blanket. You can use any shape you want: hearts, cubes, stars etc, but it’s important that the molds are made form plastic or stainless steel.

 

De cite ori atunci cind cumparati o crema un sampon sau sapun cititi cu atentie ingredientele ? Si daca le cititi aveti cunostinte temeinice de chimie sa le intelegeti ?

Si daca in parte intelegeti, sunteti constient ca nimeni nu fabrica un produs cosmetic fara sa ii adauge conservanti. Termenul de garantie pe care il citim pe produs ne da informatii despre data limita pina la care noi putem utiliza acel produs dar niciodata nu ne informeaza asupra gradului de toxicitate al substantelor de conservare.

Desigur ca exista firme care si-au facut un nume prin respectul pentru client  si calitatea produselor dar nu intodeaunea acestea se adreseaza si buzunarelor mai ..modeste.Acest lucru nu trebuie sa te impiedice sa ai grija de tine la cel mai inalt nivel-fii propriul tau fabricant de cosmetice si satisfactiile vor fi multiple

• vei sti cu certitudine ce anume contin produsele tale
• vei avea un sentiment profund de automultumire
• vei economisi bani pe doua cai o data pentru tine si in al doilea rind prin cadourile pe care le poti face prietenilor daruindu-le un produs natural si original
• vei proteja mediul inconjurator folosind chiar uleiul rezidual in loc sa il arunci
• vei putea chiar cistiga bani daca amicii incantati de cadourile tale le vor recomanda la rindul lor cunostintelor si altor prieteni-iti vor veni primele comenzi .

Ideea nu trebuie sa te sperie, nu trebuie sa stii cine stie ce chimie. La urma urmei si gatitul e tot un fel de experiment chimic. Cand doresti sa mananci o prajitura buna proaspata si cu ingrediente naturale ce preferi ?Una facuta in casa sau una de cumparat ?

Reteta pentru sapun de casa cu aloe

Sapunul cu aloe are un efect hidratant, hranitor si de catifelare asupra pielii, conferindu-i un aspect stralucitor. O reteta destul de simpla de preparare a sapunului de casa la rece este urmatoarea :

Ingredientele pentru trei kilograme de sapun sunt:

• 300 g de cristale de soda caustica,
• 4 cani cu apa rece,
• 800 ml de ulei de nuca de cocos,
• 1 litru de ulei de masline (daca nu aveti ulei de nuca de cocos, puteti folosi 1,8 l ulei de masline),
• 3 cani de grasime vegetala (ulei vegetal de orice fel, dar curat),
• o lingura cu ulei esential parfumat, in functie de preferinta fiecaruia: menta, vanilie, trandafir etc.
• tinctura de aloe

Se amesteca soda cu apa rece in borcanul de sticla, pana ce cristalele s-au dizolvat. Intotdeauna turnati soda peste apa, si niciodata invers! Puneti grasimea in oala emailata (sau inox) si topiti-o, dupa care adaugati uleiul de masline si cel de cocos. Temperatura adecvata pentru preparare este de 35-37 de grade. Adaugati usor uleiurilor solutia de lesie, amestecand mereu, aproximativ 30 de minute. Inainte de a-l turna in forme adaugati uleiurile parfumate si praf sau tictura de aloe. Eu am adaugat si un flacon de glicerina boraxata. Acoperiti formele cu o patura groasa si puneti-le pe o suprafata plana. Ii puteti da sapunului formele pe care le doriti: inimioare, cuburi, stelute etc dar formele trebuie sa fie din plastic sau inox.


Pentru un sapun cu efect antibacterian folositi in loc de apa infuzie de frunze de nuc si sovarf.

In manevrarea sodei caustice trebuie sa va luati niste masuri de precautie-lucrati cu manusi si ochelari de protectie, acoperiti zona de lucru cu ziare vechi, in cazul in care va cade un pic pe jos sau soda intra in contact cu pielea turnati imediat otet pentru a neutraliza si cel mai important aspect ar fi sa nu aveti copiii in preajma.
